Another thing: it seems that winter has wiped out the footsteps somewhat--they seem more difficult to spot now than last summer. Or maybe I'm not looking as much into the asphalt as before. Or perhaps dust is covering them up so I can't see them as clear? Whatever the reason, I'll keep photographing the steps I spot--there should be plenty more left...
